Mailroomly and Mailgun

Mailroomly and Mailgun both send app email through an API, and Mailroomly accepts Mailgun’s own requests. Mailgun stops at sending and routing: replies go to a server you build, and there is no team inbox or newsletter editor. Mailroomly adds team inboxes, campaigns and AI agents with approval, from €12 a month for 10,000 emails.

When Mailgun fits better

  • You send at a volume where sending is all you need, and you route replies to your own systems.
  • You need what we don’t offer yet, such as dedicated IP addresses or address validation.
  • You need your data stored in the United States.

Questions about moving from Mailgun

Can I keep my Mailgun code?

Yes. Point your Mailgun SDK at app.mailroomly.com and use a Mailroomly key. Your requests and webhook handlers keep working.

What happens to my routes?

Replies land in the team inbox of the address they answer, in the thread with what was sent. Webhooks tell your app about each one.

How long does the move take?

An afternoon for most apps: change the host and the key, then verify your domain’s DNS records in Mailroomly.
