AI agents that answer in your threads

Mailroomly connects your own AI agents to your email over MCP or the REST API. They read and reply in the same threads as your team: on their own where you allow it, as drafts that wait for your team’s approval, or by handing the conversation over. Each agent’s token lists what it may do.

Start in three steps

  1. Create an AI agent token

In Settings, with the addresses and actions it may use.

  2. Add Mailroomly to your MCP client

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code, with the configuration below.

  3. Ask it to answer

“Answer what’s waiting in billing@, and leave anything about refunds to me.”

The MCP configuration

Paste it into your client, with your token. Mailroomly’s MCP server is at app.mailroomly.com/mcp.

Three ways an agent can work

On its own

Where you allow it, it answers and sends, and every message shows it was the agent.

Drafts for approval

It writes the answer, and a teammate approves, edits or takes over.

Handing over

It passes the conversation to a teammate when it needs one, with what it found.

Limits you set

  • Each token lists the addresses and actions it may use. Nothing else is possible.
  • An administrator may let their agent set up the organization, and every administrator is told.
  • No token ever deletes for good, grants administrator rights or closes the organization: those need someone signed in.
  • A campaign an agent starts waits 15 minutes while every administrator may cancel it.

Questions about AI agents

Does Mailroomly come with an AI agent?

No. Mailroomly connects the agents you already use, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, and runs none of its own. Your AI agents connect at no extra cost.

Which agents can connect?

Any MCP client, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code, and any agent that calls the REST API.

Will an agent send something I haven’t seen?

Only where you allow it. Everything else becomes a draft that waits for your team.

What does it cost?

Agents’ email counts toward your plan’s monthly emails like any other. Free has one connected agent or app, and paid plans have no limit.
